One day when I have my dream house I’m definitely going to have a swing inside. Not only an interior swing is unconventional and fun but it also a great way to break a creative block especially if you work from home. So I let myself indulge and add to my “dream house inspiration folder”. Are you with me for a ride?
Still doubting whether or not should I disclose the best kept secret place in LA. I wish I could keep it all to myself. Malibu Wines winery is just perfect in all ways: it is a little quite place away from the hustle of the city, with live music on the weekends and delicious wine list. So we went there on yet another sunny California weekend (sorry East Coast for bragging), this time to celebrate my hubby’s B-day with a little picnic.

Since they sell only wine there, we brought some snacks and I set up a picnic table
Everybody loved my little newspaper pockets filled with popcorn, veggie chips, fruit and nuts.
We had such an amazing and relaxing time. Can’t wait for the rain to be over so we could go again.

I know that some smart professionals out there are busy predicting new color trends for the next seasons, but I’ve already selected my new color combo to obsess over. Pale coral and turquoise palette is so fresh and fun for spring/summer time. And both of the colors look fabulous against a bronze sun-kissed skin. Ladies and gentlemen, put your shades on, we are heading towards the summer time!

Nothing says carelessness more than swirling skirts in the meadows! It reminds me how badly I’m overdue on reconnecting with nature. A hike or a day at the beach (I wonder if a trip to a winery would count?)… and a big skirts to swirl in.

How true it is that you realize the true value of something only in comparison. I think never before had I enjoyed a weekend so much as this one, after a very busy week. With the sun pouring in through the windows, cooking and cleaning aren’t chores any more, just relaxing, almost meditative, activities under the jazz tunes.
Hope you too will find beauty in simple pleasures today.
