another snow fix 15 January, 2012

Our snow-lacking ski trip this New Year’s left me with the very unsettled feeling as I haven’t gotten my snow fix at all. I mean not even a snow ball fight…. really people?! So now as I pack down the winter decor I still dream of winter wonderland. So white we are at it, why don’t dream up the perfect winter get-away. Something like this Sugar Bowl Residence by John Maniscalco Architecture.

happy and new 3 January, 2012

Coming back from the state of incommunicado (i.e. ski trip to the mountains), I’m all geared-up for the new peaks to conquer this year. Last year was incredibly eventful so it will be hard to out-do it: between another Masters, dreamy new job, a taste of southern hospitality, the life-transformational grand voyage, motorcycle licence (!!!) and the “Junior Designer of the Year” Award @ new dreamy job…really there’s nothing else I could have wished for.

For the year to come, I want to wish you all new breath-taking adventures, bright lazy mornings and a sea of champagne bubbles to celebrate every little moment!

I try to stay away from the resolution lists, they make me sad of all the things I haven’t accomplished in the outgoing year. Instead I make a lot of wishes with every strike of the bell on that special night  and promise to be my best…yet again. So far this technique worked magic for me :) I hope that all of you wished BIG this year, as I certainly did. What is it? Can’t tell yet, but you might be able to get a hint of it from this video.

5D by oppenheim 20 November, 2011

Some images possess the 5D powers. Like these out-of-the-world renderings of the award-winning Wadi Rum Resort in Jordan by super-talented team of Oppenheim Architecture + Design.

We all know what 3D is, so the 4th D is for the sound and feel of the swooping sand between the mountains which I can swear you get just by looking at this presentation. And the 5th D I give for the incredible peaceful and relaxing after-taste that is left with you, it’s almost like going on a mini vacation. Don’t you agree?

summer memories 27 August, 2011

The only other scarier thing than the fact that my last post was a month ago is that I still have an active tab open with a hot summer looks which I wanted to review here from 8 weeks ago. Time to face the truth poopsies: the summer is fleeting! We have barely a weekend or two to make the Summer 2011 go down in a history full of some memories. So I’ve made a little check list to make sure you won’t have any regrets later on.

1. Soak in the sun!

Mainly, because your blue-ishly pale body needs some color and  Vitamin D.

2. Catch up with your galpals!

What can be better than a brunch in a sun-lit street cafe and no need for an excuse to share a few glasses of champagne.

3. Discover something new!

It doesn’t matter if it’s a full-scale vacation, a  roadtrip or a bike ride…just put some curles in your hair and go toss them in the wind.

4. Seduce, love and take time to enjoy the feeling!

Put your laptops aside and take time to talk, smile and dream together. And no cheating with a jaded movie dates!

5. Celebrate every moment big or small!

6. Dream of  adventures yet to come!

Check, check and check!

Enjoy your last bits of summer!

dreaming of: provence 30 July, 2011

After finally buying the tickets to a certain long-wished-for European vacation, my head seems to permanently transport itself into the dreamland at any spare moment. And the current dreamland looks something like these.

Or even more so…exactly like these…………

After brief calculations with a sober mind, I ended up with the following sad conclusion: At my current salary rate I’ll need at least 100 years to be able to afford anything close to this. Oh wait, I forgot to do dollar-to-euro exchange! I guess I’ll stop by calculation at this, back to dream land :)))))
