fall dress code 28 October, 2010

Another busy day here so to brighten it up lets play grown-up dress up. I love all of the fall trends: neutral chiffon blouses, plaids, deep purples and burgundies, leather and metallic accents. Here’s my dream outfit this fall, a busy girl would totally be more happy to run around town all pretty like this. What do you think?

blooming Dior 20 October, 2010

If you are in a bad mood or having a hard time waking up, I highly recommend treating yourself to watching Christian Dior Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2010 Runway Show. Screaming with wild colors and flowing shapes, the collection is one of the most impressive ones I’ve seen in a long time. These flower bouquets fused with butterfly wings won’t leave a single soul uninspired.  Personally, I can’t get enough of it…watched it 3 times already! Speechless.

Just a few of my favorites

flock away 14 October, 2010

After an exhausting day yesterday of 10-hour computer staring, I have another one coming today. How exciting, right?! I wish I could flock away to the city streets in these beauties by Balenciaga. A girl can dream…

3 years ago 12 October, 2010

Today exactly 3 years ago I married the most amazing man on earth (sorry to break it down to you, single ladies, but yes – he’s already taken:) and those 3 years were the most blessed years of my life. I cant’ thank the God enough for bringing us together from across the planet. Seriously, what were the chances for a guy from Los Angeles to meet a gal from Shadrinsk? But here we are, honey, and I can’t cherish enough every second spent with you. You really make me a better person and I’m looking forward to spending the rest of my life in our arms. I love you!

To celebrate the anniversary we set up the shoot with tremendously talented photographer and my dear friend Jenn Hoffman. Jenn did an amazing job capturing us as we are as well as luscious Downtown LA architecture (which, as you understand, was very important for me). Jenn is the best and can’t recommend her enough. Check our her site and prepare to be impressed!

And now, you guys get the first sneak peek of out shoot!

french market baskets 5 October, 2010

I have a confession to make: I HATE grocery shopping. As much as I love cooking, I just cannot bring myself together to waste an hour of my life limping along the rows of a supermarket. I wish I could rather roam through the street markets on the tiny alleys of Europe where the food is so inspirational and all of the hustle and bustle brings so much character to the process itself.

And be like these chic ladies with their little baskets, just browsing the streets or going to a picnic.

At least I can pretend, with these lovely handmade French Market Baskets from Jeanne Beatrice. I just love the natural quality and the juxtaposition of leather detail.

Or if you want some color and pattern, check out French Basketeer. There you’ll find that perfect punch of color to complement your grocery-shopping outfit (all within $40-$50 range). Happy inspired shopping!
