swing me happy 28 February, 2011

One day when I have my dream house I’m definitely going to have a swing inside. Not only an interior swing is unconventional and fun but it also a great way to break a creative block especially if you work from home. So I let myself indulge and add to my “dream house inspiration folder”. Are you with me for a ride?

color obsession: coral and turquoise 6 February, 2011

I know that some smart professionals out there are busy predicting new color trends for the next seasons, but I’ve already selected my new color combo to obsess over. Pale coral and turquoise palette is so fresh and fun for spring/summer time. And both of the colors look fabulous against a bronze sun-kissed skin. Ladies and gentlemen, put your shades on, we are heading towards the summer time!

1. Lenox Chirp Collection; 2. Essie Nail Polish in California Coral; 3. Stephen Dweck Coral and Turquoise Ring; 4. Dwell Studio Decorative Pillow; 5. Trina Turk Turquoise/White Diamond Pillow; 6. Tibi One-Shoulder Printed Dress; 7. Hinged Jewelry Box; 8. Charles Schneider Art Glass Vase; 9. Ceramic Melon Doorknob.

take me away 13 January, 2011

I’m officially stating a new kind of disorder – a post-vacational depression. Is it only me or you too feel like you need a week or two off after a vacation. Trying to move slowly into the new year’s busy life, I’ve only got more stuff piling up on my shoulders. So I’m already burned out even before my last semester at school started.

At this moments my mind takes me away to my perfect world, a place where I’m always happily smiling and have nothing to worry about except which swim suite to wear today. For the past 2 years this place has been Mykonos, Greece. Since our trip there 2 years ago, I’ve never been that carelessly and deliriously happy anywhere else.

Charming tiny quite streets by day turn into an absolutely best night clubs/lounges by night combining two of my passions: for historic architecture and for dancing till dawn.

And not that I haven’t enjoyed staying in a small family-owned pension, but in my dream world I’m permanently residing in luxurious Cavo Tagoo.

where am I staying? at the Golden Villa with a private pool, of course

What is you perfect world hide away place?

dream dress vs. beekman palace 7 December, 2010

Sometimes there’s no need to search for the dream dress, it comes to you itself. Like this one came in a form of December Harper’s Bazaar editorial of Iman (God, she looks amazing).  The Valentino gown is truly to die for but I have a feeling that Santa is not that generous so I’ll have to scratch this one off my list. Ah, a girl can dream…

The backdrop of the shoot is an even competitor with the dress. The Abandoned Beekman Palace, built in 1882, is a  landmark in lower Manhattan and, rumor has it, will be restored to a glamorous hotel. It’ about time, right?! Can’t believe that such a gem has been in disrepair for over a decade since 1940s. Hope to stay there one day as the interiors are just breathtaking!

Beekman Palace has become a true internet sensation and has got  nicknamed  as “the most stunning atrium in NY”, it opens up to 9 stories above.

Click HERE for the full photo-coverage of the building by Scouting NY.  Trust me, you DON’T want to miss that!
