Dear reality,
I just want to let you know that I’ll be out of you till October 8th. Where will I be? In my dream wonderland, of course. Feeding on macaroons, taking in the beauty and glittering in the lights of the city. Please, don’t bother getting a hold of me: no emails, texts or calls. They don’t have social networks here.
Au Revior! I’ll miss you…hmmm, not really.

With the warm days slipping away, so does my interior desires for bright patterns and sheers (I though I’m never going to say that out loud!). I found myself leaning towards something more substantial and real. How about strong architectural elements and solid unpretentious woods. Don’t you just get that crispy-thinning-fall-air and wet-wood-after-rain vibe from this Urban Loft by Steven Volpe.
And with my lust for library/dining spaces this room is beyond perfection. 
One might say: “How’s the rich blue velvet is down to earth and unpretentious?” Well…I’m sure that it is blooming somewhere there in that wet forest of mine…on the bronze branches.
Yeah, you can take a girl out of lux but can’t take the lux out of a girl.

The only other scarier thing than the fact that my last post was a month ago is that I still have an active tab open with a hot summer looks which I wanted to review here from 8 weeks ago. Time to face the truth poopsies: the summer is fleeting! We have barely a weekend or two to make the Summer 2011 go down in a history full of some memories. So I’ve made a little check list to make sure you won’t have any regrets later on.
1. Soak in the sun!
Mainly, because your blue-ishly pale body needs some color and Vitamin D. 
2. Catch up with your galpals!
What can be better than a brunch in a sun-lit street cafe and no need for an excuse to share a few glasses of champagne. 
3. Discover something new!
It doesn’t matter if it’s a full-scale vacation, a roadtrip or a bike ride…just put some curles in your hair and go toss them in the wind.
4. Seduce, love and take time to enjoy the feeling!
Put your laptops aside and take time to talk, smile and dream together. And no cheating with a jaded movie dates! 
5. Celebrate every moment big or small!
6. Dream of adventures yet to come! 
Check, check and check!

The image below completely stole my heart, it impersonates everything that I’ve been craving for this summer: flowing flowery dresses (maxi please), belted summer blazers, nude wedges on the wood sole, ginger hues to the hair. While I’ve got my hands on most of the items on the list, a girl can never have too many dresses, right?!
The rest of the editorial is no less than aspiring as well. Coincidentally, it has a dreamy Chinese garden as a backdrop, something to draw inspiration from for the two Chinese hotel projects I’ve been working on.
