mecox on la cienega 13 May, 2010

I’m sure anyone of you have ever felt at home when entering a furniture showroom. Well, I just discovered my furniture heaven last weekend. Even though my personal style changes pretty often, Mecox is the representation of everything ME this summer from the accessories, to the books, to the dog. The only thing missing is the ocean view.

Relaxed yet sophisticated, pared-down yet intellectual… I know which site I’ll be checking quite often.

walking in downtown LA 6 May, 2010

One of the past weekends, I finally managed to carve out some free time to go and explore the downtown. With the tremendous changes of the past few years, it has turned from the “scary to be” place into “to be seen in” place. Lots of trendy restaurants, clubs and cultural venues all fleeing to downtown. And so did I, equipped with a camera.

In downtown, it’s all about the details. To take the moment to stop and literally look above those hectic shops and take it in. Wish for the Golden Age of Hollywood era and see yourself strolling down Broadway for the premier of the new play in one of those gorgeous theaters.

Oh and Art Deco, of course…

And for the piece of New York on the West Coast for those of  you, like me, tearing your heart apart between the two cities.

I’ve recently spotted this great online store and decided to share it with you. May be I’m doing it to my greater lose since I’d like to keep this jewel to myself as among other great stuff  ModCloth sells one of a kind vintage clothes and accessories. and those guys go FAST. Good thing, you can RSS the products and be the first one to grab it.

Founded by high school sweethearts in 2002, now it’s a full volume online store featuring vintage-inspired cloth by indie designers, accessories and other fun stuff for the retro lovers.

Anyways, look at what we’ve already missed on the true vintage section. But don’t be sad, click here for PLENTY of amazingly cool stuff, that would keep you browsing forever.
