It seems like the aftermath of the Legends of La Cienega will feed my blog posts for quite a while now. But with my weakness for all sorts of wallcoverings, I couldn’t not to write about the fabulous Farrow and Ball, a European paint and wallpaper company. Large variety and colorways, generous samples size but what really made me stand and stare is the quality. The printing techniques allow the paint to have the textured vintage, almost nostalgic, feel as if every ornament was pressed in by hand. A truly European quality.

My recent art find that I can’t get over is amazing Erin Petson, a Brit artist and illustrator working with mixed media.
Her love of drawing, mark making and montage create powerful and provocative images.
Her subjects have a mystical energy that is ethereal and edgy.
Erin’s delicate creations have a paper doll like quality they have been described as bondage leaning Glam Fashion-vintage assemblages.
And I couldn’t have said it better. Now you know what’s on my computer wallpaper background.

I’m sure anyone of you have ever felt at home when entering a furniture showroom. Well, I just discovered my furniture heaven last weekend. Even though my personal style changes pretty often, Mecox is the representation of everything ME this summer from the accessories, to the books, to the dog. The only thing missing is the ocean view.
Relaxed yet sophisticated, pared-down yet intellectual… I know which site I’ll be checking quite often.

The spring collection of Restoration Hardware is really fresh and inspiring. For a while I lost RH from my view as their blue-brown color palette got, let’s be honest, jaded. I’m so glad to see them revived and back on my top list. Aged woods, natural linens and jutes, intellectual collectibles and TRUNKS…lots of trunks! What else a girl need for a pleasant summery weekend. My mind has already moved in with all these goodies into that French Old Mill House in the Town of Plaisance from the May AD issue. I just LOVE mirrors, no wonder I have several of them in every room. Let’s take living room, for instance: Rococo-ish mirror above the council, screen divider with aged-mirror inserts, mirrored top side tables, eglomise mirrored coffee table…and 3 convex mirrors I bought for the bedroom but still keep them as display on the shelf in the living room.
Wow, I’ve never though I’m THAT crazy about mirrors. They bring chick and sparkle with the morning sun. So when I found the Addiction Collection, my long life dream came true. Mirrors as art give another excuse to put the mirrors in the space.
But all of us addicted in US have to wait till they open the shop online section, as all the distributors are only in France so far.
