I’m SO ready for fall. After exhaustingly hot August in Russia, I came back to ever-air-conditioned LA, like to heaven. And believe it or not just now got to sort through the pile of magazines, including August, September and October issues of each one of them. That’s quite a chore! But the moment I’ve opened Vogue’s October issue…like a breath of fresh air – Ralph Lauren’s Fall 2010 Collection.
Perfectly romantic with flowing florals and ruffles mixing a nostalgic old-world Europe charm in tweeds, knits and weathered leather. Makes me dream of a late autumn trip to British suburbs.

Ever wondered that you have nothing to wear looking into the closet filled with clothes? How about one dress for 365 days. No way you say, but Sheena & the Uniform Projects crew did just that. Sheena has pledged to wear one dress as an exercise for the sustainable fashion and a year-long fundraiser for the Akanksha Foundation, a grassroots movement to improve education in India. With all of the accessories donated, hand-made or found in thrift stores, the Uniform Project crew has created a unique project that so far has put 236 kids from the slums in school. The year is over now (although the rumors are out about the upcoming Year 2 ), but you can still donate.
Take a look at the whole journey, you wouldn’t believe your eyes.
I’ve recently spotted this great online store and decided to share it with you. May be I’m doing it to my greater lose since I’d like to keep this jewel to myself as among other great stuff ModCloth sells one of a kind vintage clothes and accessories. and those guys go FAST. Good thing, you can RSS the products and be the first one to grab it.
Founded by high school sweethearts in 2002, now it’s a full volume online store featuring vintage-inspired cloth by indie designers, accessories and other fun stuff for the retro lovers.
Anyways, look at what we’ve already missed on the true vintage section. But don’t be sad, click here for PLENTY of amazingly cool stuff, that would keep you browsing forever.

Not that I’m complaining about the California weather (at 75°F in January it would be a sin!) but after I’ve seen these dresses from J.Mendal’s Spring 2010 Collection I wished for the warm spring days when you can be irrationally romantic and groundlessly happy.
“What is my message for Spring?” mused Gilles Mendel… “Specialness, preciousness, and value—with a little something to make you dream.” Spoken like a true Frenchman.
Older Mendel but no less inspiring <images via www.jmendel.com & www.style.com>
Glen Luchford, the author of millions of pictures of the “i-wish-it-was-me” type, released THE BOOK! Now we can enjoy his masterpieces in one place instead of roaming through dusty piles of gloss.
This on is definitely on my Wish List for Christmas.
