addicted to addiction collection 11 April, 2010

I just LOVE mirrors, no wonder I have several of them in every room. Let’s take living room, for instance: Rococo-ish mirror above the council, screen divider with aged-mirror inserts, mirrored top side tables, eglomise mirrored coffee table…and 3 convex mirrors I bought for the bedroom but still keep them as display on the shelf in the living room.

Wow, I’ve never though I’m THAT crazy about mirrors. They bring chick and sparkle with the morning sun. So when I found the Addiction Collection, my long life dream came true. Mirrors as art give another excuse to put the mirrors in the space.

But all of us addicted in US have to wait till they open the shop online section, as all the distributors are only in France so far.

san francisco conduit 10 April, 2010

No, I’m not going to give you the tour of SF underground. Conduit is the absolutely handsome restaurant which got its name from the circumstances. When Stenley Saitowitz| Natoma Architects‘ team stepped on the ground floor of the commercial space in a new residential building, all they saw is a low ceiling and a tangled maze of plumbing, sprinkler and electrical conduits serving the residences above.

So when impossible to cover, make it to stand out. Who might have thought that galvanized and copper conduit can look so stylish and unique.  Talking about design on the budget, i bet these guys didn’t have to break the piggy bank.

luxury villa in Madrid 3 April, 2010

Living in Europe as it is sounds magic but living in the designer home in Madrid, Spain is certainly a dream that will come true to a lucky buyer of this 9.5 million-euros jaw-dropper. Listed by Signature Residences, the property features 5 bedrooms (+ 3 for staff). And at this size, the architecture is so fluid and minimal that it fits the lot perfectly and even emphasizes the indoor/outdoor nature.

The rest of us, mortals, can only dream…

B&N Industries 2 April, 2010

Great find! I always so happy to find a new vendor that has exiting products, vast variety and based of California. A match made in heaven.

So let me present you B&N Industries, an innovative designer and manufacturer of products and systems for the retail, architectural, and consumer industries. I’ve hardly ever seen before such a unique approach to the retail display configurations. Their systems can make up the store design on their own.

But what literally took my breath away is their Iconic Panels Series. Sleek and simple they would bring the right decorative punch of a modern space. Iconic Panels are created using an innovative process
of formed laminate over a carved wood core. Incredibly durable, they can be sawn, nailed, screwed, glued, or simply mounted on walls with B&N’s special Panel Cleats.

You would think what could be better than these and here I come and say – these panel but in reclaimed wood. I actually used one of these for my concept restaurant project. I though it would be neat to cut through some of the pattern and lit it from behind. Came out pretty cool. What do you think?

convallaria flower lamps 27 March, 2010

After a week of silence while studying for my finals I’ve collected quite a number of notes on posts that I’ve wanted to do here. Since I  was the only one who haven’t had a chance to enjoy the spring coming, I really need to catch up.

And I decided to open up my new post avalanche with these absolutely lovely lamps by Polish Pink Pug Design team.

Convallaria ia a collection of lamps inspired by nature, made of polyester felt. Available in a wide color range. Those green ones would be perfect for my space.
