soaking in the sun 21 February, 2011

Happy extra-day-off people! It feels like it’s the first time after Christmas holidays, that we get to take a breath in and break from the everyday pattern. With some unusual rainy and chilly days here in LA, we’ve got a lot of white mountain tops around…which means that the snow is calling again! I’m off hitting the local slopes at the Mt.Waterman for a day. Hope you all get to soak in the sun and recharge for the upcoming week!

fall preserved 11 November, 2010

I know, I know…winter holiday’s theme starts creeping in into blogs and store fronts but I’m always trying to drag the time out at this time of the year. I love fall with the chilly nights and fest of color. And nothing speaks more autumn to me than preserved pressed botanicals. May be it comes from the childhood memories. There was something incredibly warm and nostalgic to discover long forgotten leaves and flowers pressed between pages of a book. A little piece of summer in the middle of the snowy winter months.

And now every time I come across the pressed botanical art it brings me right back to those comforting moments.

Botanical art not only brings in warmth to any space but also looks incredibly chic and sophisticated. And it’s so easy to do it yourself too, just mount dry botanicals on vintage paper or just a plain frame glass and here you go.

There are so many ideas of incorporating this natural beauty. These incredible botanical accessories from Botanical Creations, Garden22 Design Studio and Zipper 8 Design definitely go on my Wish List.

was it THAT long…?! 21 September, 2010

What has just happened? How a week off turned into 3-month break? Let’s trace back a little..

WOW!…Now that we’ve finally caught up I’m back with my regular daily posts. And I have a LOT to share, so stay tuned. I really missed you guys!

the 100th post 24 June, 2010

When I started my blog back in October 2009, the thought of the 100th post was so far our of reach. Not knowing how to start, I just wanted to capture my musings and inspirations one day at a time and idea of somebody’s reading/following my scribbles was unimaginable.

Here I amĀ  at my 100th post, my first milestone, and I can proudly say I’m here to stay. Researching and writing has become a habit, and seeing everything as another post topic has made my life that much more exciting and adventurous. Now I can’t be just lazy…I HAVE to see that new exhibition, I HAVE to visit that showroom opening, I HAVE to be there and participate… because I owe it to my blog and you, my readers.

Starting from 75 visits my first month (most of which, I’m sure, were my supportive husband) I’ve come to 1,146 (and counting) this month. Quite a shocking number for me personally. So thank you everyone who’s along for a ride. Your feed back is very important to me, in fact, I always scream in excitement when I see your comments.

Let’s go for another hundred…
