Thanks to the Richworks’ post on doodle art I came across an uber-talented UK artist and illustrator Andrea Joseph. Her sketches reminded that no matter how advanced the graphic design technologies are, nothing can beat the power of the human made art. Make me feel like pulling out those colored pencils I tucked away with all this Sketchup work. The incredible personality of her sketches make me feel like I already know her. The only thing left to do is to ge the project where I could use her prints.

Great find! I always so happy to find a new vendor that has exiting products, vast variety and based of California. A match made in heaven.
So let me present you B&N Industries, an innovative designer and manufacturer of products and systems for the retail, architectural, and consumer industries. I’ve hardly ever seen before such a unique approach to the retail display configurations. Their systems can make up the store design on their own.
But what literally took my breath away is their Iconic Panels Series. Sleek and simple they would bring the right decorative punch of a modern space. Iconic Panels are created using an innovative process
of formed laminate over a carved wood core. Incredibly durable, they can be sawn, nailed, screwed, glued, or simply mounted on walls with B&N’s special Panel Cleats.
You would think what could be better than these and here I come and say – these panel but in reclaimed wood. 
I actually used one of these for my concept restaurant project. I though it would be neat to cut through some of the pattern and lit it from behind. Came out pretty cool. What do you think?

After a week of silence while studying for my finals I’ve collected quite a number of notes on posts that I’ve wanted to do here. Since I was the only one who haven’t had a chance to enjoy the spring coming, I really need to catch up.
And I decided to open up my new post avalanche with these absolutely lovely lamps by Polish Pink Pug Design team.
Convallaria ia a collection of lamps inspired by nature, made of polyester felt. Available in a wide color range. Those green ones would be perfect for my space.

The ’systemX’ fluorescent lighting system was created by Ross Lovegrove for yamagiwa Lighting Design and is really a unique and interesting twist on standard fluorescent tubes. The system is composed of modular ‘X’ pieces made of plastic and aluminum that each contain 2 T4 21W fluorescent bulbs. These ‘X’ pieces can be combined in different geometric layouts including large planes for lighting up an entire office space or smaller circles for illuminating a more intimate dining room table.
Nice design move which might revamp the fluorescent industry with the whole world of LED stepping on its heels. Unfortunately, this product is only available in Europe for now.

Most of us here, in design blogosphere, know and love Brooke Giannetti from Velvet & Linen blog where she shares her daily design aspirations, travels and home projects in such a lively and personal way that it seems you ‘ve known her for ages. She and her multi-talented husband-architect Steve manage a successful architecture and interior design firm here in LA. She runs The Giannetti Home, an absolutely beautiful furniture and accessories store in the heart of Brentwood. And they have 3 kids!
But this is not the end. Browsing through their lovely portfolio I stumbled upon another creation of the Almighty family.

Here you can find all you architectural and design needs answered. Whether you browse numerous photo gallery on exterior and interior architecture (taking in the 20 years of experience!), decor, sketches, reference to basic dimensions and codes, Detaliano is a priceless resource for both designers and home owners with “what to start from” headaches.
Hey and the vendor lists are amazing! It’s like sneaking into the firm’s design library but with all the links a click away.
